Brothers charged with making meth

Two brothers have been arrested following a methamphetamine lab bust Wednesday at their home located at 191 High St. in Somerville.

Jeffery Douglas Arnold and Brandon Eugene Arnold have been charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance first degree – methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. They are in the Morgan County Jail on bonds of $10,000 each.

The Morgan County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence Wednesday. The task force had been investigating both brothers for several weeks due to information that had been obtained through numerous recent methamphetamine related arrests.

Agents discovered a red phosphorous methamphetamine laboratory, locating chemicals and other materials used and associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Both brothers were also found to be in possession of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia items that were used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Items were located in the brothers’ separate bedrooms of residence and also locating methamphetamine and chemicals associated with manufacturing methamphetamine in a storage building behind residence.

Both brothers were currently out on bond for a prior unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance second degree – methamphetamine that occurred in 2011. Charges are still awaiting grand jury indictment.
