Edna Earle James

Funeral for Edna Earle James, 74, of Danville will be Fri., Oct. 12, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Cassis and Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thur., Oct. 11, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. James died on Tues., Oct. 9, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born June 11, 1938, in Morgan County to Arthur Lee and Gertrude (Junkins) Lee. Mrs. James was a graduate of Danville High School, and a graduate of St. Bernard and UAB college. She was retired from Morgan County School system as a school teacher at Falkville High School. She was preceded by her husband, Billy J. James, and her parents.

She is survived by a daughter, Miranda James Mayfield and husband John of Danville; three grothers, Arthur Lee Jr. of St Louis, Mo.; Max Lee of Dallas, Texas,, and Ted Lee, San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Linda Taylor of Hartselle; and a grandchild, William H. Mayfield.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
