Meth lab found during warrant execution

The Morgan County Drug Task Force found a meth lab and arrested four men while serving an arrest warrant at 1300 Kyle Road in Hartselle Wednesday.

Brian Allen Goree was charged with unlawful manufacturing a controlled substance 1st and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. Lee Jones, Roy Griffin and William Byrd were all charged with loitering in a drug house.

All four were taken to the Morgan County Jail. Bond has not been set as of the time of the press release.

Byrd also had outstanding felony warrants in Missouri.

The task force has received several tips from neighbors that methamphetamine was being cooked at the residence. While executing an arrest warrant for Morgan County Community Corrections, task force agents made contact with the four suspects.

After Goree gave written consent to search the residence and property, drug agents located items to manufacture methamphetamine, including seven gas generators, a one-pot meth lab, cold packs, lithium, acid and cold medicine containing pseudoephedrine.
