High School campuses throughout the country will observe “See You at the Pole” prayer events Wed., Sept. 26, at 7 a.m. This global day of student prayer began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with 10 students getting together at the flag pool at their school to pray. Now millions of students around the world are participating in this student –organized and student-led movement.

The Carpenter’s Cabinet food bank in Falkville will hold a Silent Auction on Sat., Oct. 27, during the Falkville Fall Festival. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Baskets and gift donations will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday the day before the festival. Anyone wishing more information may contact Chris Warnick at 256-303-1285. Carpenter’s Cabinet provides food assistance to needy families in the Falkville, Massey. Danville and Hartselle area.
