Danville Class of 1960 meets for 52nd reunion
The Danville School Class of 1960 met on Sept. 8 at Wintzell’s Oyster House in Decatur to celebrate their 52nd class reunion.
There were 28 attendees and 18 of the 28 were former classmates and teachers. The classmates were honored by the presence of their second grade teacher, Mrs. Maud McGlocklin Brooks, and seventh grade coach, Mr. George Nancarrow. All classmates who attended Danville during the years from 1948 to 1960 were invited to attend.
Each classmate shared memories of school, life’s accomplishments and their families. First through 12th grade class pictures were available to see how the classmates used to look. Everyone enjoyed renewing acquaintances and reminiscing.
Charles Davis traveled from Rodeo, N.M. and Max Lee traveled from Allen, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brooks have been married for 61 years.
