During the week of Oct. 1-6 – Fall Cleanup Week – residents will be able to get some serious cleanup work done thanks to the combine efforts of the Morgan County Commission and Adopt-A-Mile volunteers.

The Decatur-Morgan County Landfill at Trinity will accept household rubbish free of change from 6 a.m. top 3:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Excluded are non-acceptable items such as roof shingles, tires, household garbage and hazardous chemicals.

In addition, District 1, 2 and 4 will have large trash receptacles available to accept household rubbish free of charge from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, Oct. 1-4, and from 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday. District (Decatur) 1 will accept trash at its location only on Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m.

County employees will be on duty to assist those needing help to unload their vehicles.
