HHS volleyball team 3-0 in area

Hartselle improved its record to 15-7 overall and 3-0 in the area with wins over area opponent West Point and Holly Pond on Sept. 11.

The Lady Tigers defeated area foe West Point in a best three of five sets match, 25-20, 25-12, 25-9, and Holly Pond in two sets, 25-20, 25-19.

Haley Jared led the way against West Point with 10 kills, six assists, 11 digs and a pair of blocks. Taylor Lybarger had nine kills, six digs and a pair of assists.

Taylor Dellinger scored nine kills 10 digs an assist and an ace. Sarah Ellen Battles had seven digs, an assist and an ace.

Melissa Paul Hill contributed 21 assists, 10 digs and a pair of blocks. Tori Miller had eight digs and Katy Beth Bole had three kills and a pair of blocks.

Dellinger paced the Lady Tiger against Holly Pond with 10 kills, two digs and an ace. Jared had seven kills, seven assists, four digs and an ace followed by Lybarger with six kills, six digs, an assist and an ace.

Battles logged 10 digs and an ace while Hill had a kill, 12 assists and a dig.
