Kifer wins reserve world championship

James Kifer of Hartselle captured the reserve world championship titles in weanling stallions and weanling mares, along with third place in weanling geldings at the 2012 Adequan Select American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show on Mon., Aug. 27, in Amarillo, Texas.
Kifer showed his homebred American Quarter Horse, JMK Sunsational, who is a 2012 palomino stallion in the weanling stallions. JMK Sunsational is sired by JMK Supernatural and out of Mrs Last Sunsation.
In the weanling stallions class, Kifer competed for world champion honors and a purse of $3,500. Kifer and JMK Sunsational received a prize package that included a custom-designed silver trophy, Montana Silversmiths buckle, a specially designed logoed jacket, courtesy of Cripple Creek Outerwear, product from Tex Tan or WeatherBeeta and a medallion.
Kifer showed his homebred American Quarter Horse, JMK Extravagant, who is a 2012 palomino mare in the weanling mares. JMK Extravagant is sired by JMK Supernatural and out of Extravagantly Fare.

AQHA is celebrating the 10th year of the Adequan Select World. Adequan Select World is the pinnacle event for American Quarter Horse exhibitors, ages 50 and over, around the world, who must qualify for the event by earning a predetermined number of points to compete in each of the classes representing halter, English and western disciplines.
