Bob Sittason

Bob Sittason is the new general manager of Hartselle Utilities.

He was appointed by unanimous vote of HU’s board of directors at

a special called meeting Monday night.

Sittason, who has served as finance and accounting manager for nearly eight years, will assume his new position on Oct. 1. He is following in the footsteps of Ferrell Vest, whose retirement will become effective Sept. 30.

Board Chairman Mike Gunter said the position was advertised in-house and stopped there when Sittason offered himself as a candidate.

“We’re very confident in his ability and pleased that the transition has gone so smoothly,” Gunter pointed out. “We expect the operations of HU to carry on at a high level of efficiency under his leadership and guidance.”
