Curtis Argle Oden

Funeral service for Curtis Argle Oden, 65, of Somerville will be Sat., Aug. 11, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chuck Oden officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Turney Family Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be Fri., Aug. 10, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Oden died on Wed., Aug. 8, 2012, at his residence. He was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Morgan County to Argle Ernest Oden and Grace Oden Oden. Mr. Oden passed away at home, after an extended battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. He was retired from Morgan County District #4, after 32 years of employment. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild: Adrianna Presto.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Oden of Somerville; two daughters, Katherine Smith and husband Mickey and Cynthia Presto, all of Somerville; three sisters, Helen Childers and husband Dude of Union Grove, Evelyn Morrow of Arab and Diane Blake and husband Jody of Union Hill; four surviving grandchildren, Mitchell Smith, Hunter Smith, Alyson Presto and Aden Curtis Tweedie.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Blake, Mike Page, Alan Oden, Greg Rice, Ron Allen, Keith Turney. Michael Jones and Chris Goree.
