Funeral service for Joyce Maxwell, 69, of Somerville was Wed., Aug. 8, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.

Mrs. Maxwell died on Mon., Aug. 6, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1942, in Limestone County to John Franklin Scroggins and Mary Sue (Furlin) Scroggins. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Ramey Maxwell of Somerville; two sons, Shane Maxwell and wife Tracey and Brett Maxwell and wife Aladie, all of Somerville; two brothers, Gary Scroggins and Douglas Scroggins, both of Athens; a sister, Linda Motley, Hartselle; four surviving grandchildren, Taylor Maxwell, Tucker Maxwell, Noah Maxwell and Emma Maxwell.

Pallbearers will be Greg Jones, Steve Maxwell, Roman Maxwell, Joel Hannah, Sean Pendergrass, Jonas Clem, Charlie Holt and Jud Young.
