Katie Gentle holds the third place team trophy the Wallace State Lady Lions won at the 2012 NJCCA National Championship Tournament at St. George, Utah.

“Playing in the national tournament was a fantastic experience,” Gentle said. “We were gone for a week, stopping off in Las Vegas for a couple of days while en route to Utah and stopping there again on the way home.”

“I learned a lot as a freshmen and I’m very excited about next season,” Gentle stated. “My goal is to continue to improve my game and get the opportunity to play two more years at a four-year college.”

This summer Gentle is participating in a speed camp at WSCC three days a week and plays for the Sharks, a travel team.
