Funeral for Boyd Brown, 85, of Valhermoso Springs, will be Thur., April 5, at 3 p.m. at First Christian Church in Valhermoso Springs with Pastor Mickey Johnson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be today, April 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Brown died Sat., March 31, 2012, at his grandson’s residence. He was born May 6, 1926, in Morgan County to Evie O. Brown and Ruby Helms Brown. He was a retired machinist with John Blue Company in Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Iris Jane Brown; and a son, Roger Dale Brown.

He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Jan Brown; and a grandson, Nathan Brown. Pallbearers will be friends of his grandson.
