Scott to wed Collier in March

Marty Scott of Arab and Jannette Locke Behnke and husband Joe of Albertville are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melinda Lee Scott, to Phillip Talmeridge Collier, son of Tim and Salena Collier of Lexington.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Donald and Geraldine (Legg) Locke of Hartselle and Alfred and Earlene Scott of Arab. She graduated from Arab High School in 2009. She attended Snead State and played on the state champion tennis team for the 2009-2010 season. She will graduate from the University of North Alabama in the spring of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She currently works with Muscle Shoals City Schools.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Tom and Faye Collier of Prattville and Rick and Ann Holden of Rogersville. He is the great-grandson of James “Wimp” Ellis of Lexington. He graduated from Lexington High School in 2007. He attends the University of North Alabama and has been an athletic trainer with the UNA Lions. He graduates this spring with a bachelor of science in history. He will further his ministry after graduation by attending seminary. He currently works at the Lauderdale County Co-op.

The wedding will be March 24, 2012, at noon at New Hope Baptist Church in Rogersville.
