Threat of severe weather closing school early

Hartselle City Schools and Morgan County Schools will be closing early today due to the threat of severe weather.

Morgan County Schools are dismissing at noon while Hartselle schools will be closing at 1 p.m.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., has placed the Tennessee Valley under a slight risk of severe weather today.

The main threat of severe weather will be from 4-6 p.m. for the I-65 corridor of the Tennessee Valley. The main threats are damaging winds and heavy rainfall. Tornadoes are also possible.
