Bowman, Berry announce engagement

Mr. And Ms. Danny Eugene Bowman of Smiths Station are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kallan MacKenzie Bow-man, to Derek Kristopher Berry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Glenn Berry of Hartselle.

The bride-elect is the granddaugher of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Larry Thompson of Smiths Station and Shirley Ann Bowman and the late James Hollis Bowman of Fortson, Ga.

A 2004 graduate of Smiths Station high School, she received a B.S. degree in business administration from Auburn University and is employed at Charter Bank.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ray Moses of Hartselle and Lillian Lucille Berry and the late Billy Jack Berry of Scottsboro.

He is a 2005 graduate of Hartselle High School and is a graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. degree in biosystems engineering. He is employed with the Alabama Department of Environ-mental Management.

The couple plans to be married on Oct. 29, 2011, at The Reserve at Oak Bowery in Lafayette, AL.
