Willie Pearl McCown

Funeral for Willie Pearl McCown, 85, of Hartselle was Wed., Aug. 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Stone officiating.

Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Mrs. McCown died on Mon., Aug. 8, 2011 at NHC Healthcare Center in Moulton. She was born April 27, 1926, in Morgan County to B. T. McCown and Annie Arlo Gaskin McCown. She was a homemaker and a member of East Highland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband A.V. “Dock” McCown and a son, Alvin Ray McCown.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Cross and husband Miles of Muscle Shoals; three grandchildren, Matt Wilbanks, Bettina McCown and Heather McCown; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Charles Quinn, William Booth, Jimmy Thompson, Dyke Thompson, Matt Wilbanks and Eddie Thompson.
