Four face drug charges
Four Morgan County residents are facing drug-related charges following investigations at homes in Danville and Falkville Wednesday.
According to a press release, the Morgan County Drug Task Force conducted a child welfare check at 56 Betterton Road in Danville, while simultaneously serving a narcotics arrest warrant at 83 Roberts Road, a neighboring residence that was involved with the child welfare complaint.
“At both residences, agents discovered one-pot methamphetamine laboratories, methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and other manufacturing equipment,” Franklin said in the statement.
Two children were present at 56 Betterton Road, where the father, Louis Carlton Hill, 44, 56 Betterton Road was arrested and charged with manufacturing first degree and drug endangered child. His bond has been set at $5,000.
Timothy Wayne Brown, 37, was arrested at 83 Roberts Road and charged with manufacturing first degree, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond has not yet been set.
In Falkville, the task force conducted a “knock and talk” investigation at 173 East Lacon Loop after receiving complaints of methamphetamine possibly being manufactured there.
“Agents discovered eight one-pot methamphetamine laboratories inside and outside the residence, along with drug paraphernalia,” Franklin said. “Two children were present at the residence.”
Clifford Barbee, 29, and Robin Barbee, 22, both of 172 East Lacon Road in Falkville were arrested and both charged with manufacturing first degree and drug endangered child. Their bonds have not yet been set.
