Hammonds celebrate golden anniversary

Edith and Dale Hammond of Hartselle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 18 in Gulf Shores.

A catered seafood dinner on the beach was given by their daughters, Karen Lowry and April Kyles. Also attending were Jeff Lowry, Eddie Kyles, April Crews, Dale Kyles, Justin Odom and Brittany Prescott.

Cake and ice cream were served afterward.

The following evening, after fishing on the Bon Secour River, Edith and Dale were honored with a shrimp and crawfish boil given by Judy and Tom Odom, Miles Powell, Chris Womack, Joe Odom and Jake Odom.
