Wilson, Parker to marry July 30
Paul and Anna Wilson of Hartselle are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Charleston Tarvonna Wilson of Hartselle, to Jordan Blake Parker of Hartselle, son of Tony and Lisa Parker of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Tarvon and Jean McCaghren of Danville, Charles Wilson of Decatur, Judy Wilson of Hartselle, Jerry Hardy and the late Al Hardy of Thomaston, Ga.
She is a 2006 graduate of Danville High School and a graduate of Athens State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in collaborative education. She is employed by Phenix City Schools as a sixth and seventh grade special education English teacher.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Gene and Vel Parker of Hartselle, Christine Nelson of Kelso, Tenn., the late R. C. Parker of Decatur, the late Z.C. and Arcadia Adams and Leroy and Laura Parker, all of Vinemont.
He is a 2006 graduate of Hartselle High School and Athens State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in business. As a baseball player, he was team captain for four years, Freshman of the Year in 2008, All-Conference player in 2010 and 2011 in the Gulf South Conference for Alabama-Huntsville baseball.
The wedding will take place July 30, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Crawford’s Farm in Somerville.
