McCaghren, Delgado wed
Gary and Judy Lemmond of Hartselle announce the marriage of their daughter, Susan Noreen McCaghren, to Wayne Christopher Delgado, son of Ed and Cheryle (Korns) Delgado of Shalimar, Fla.
The wedding took place May 7 at sunset on Okaloosa Island, Ft. Walton, Beach, Fla. with Cecelia Connelly officiating.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a mermaid-style gown of ivory satin underlay and a lace organza overlay adorned with intricate hand-beaded appliqués and pearl details on the bodice and skirt and trimmed with a satin band on the bodice and hem. The gown also featured a corset back and a sweep train. The bride carried a bouquet of orchids, coral roses and calla lilies.
Matron of honor was Tammy Dotson, sister of the bride. The best man was James Buchli.
The flower girl was Olivia Delgado, daughter of the groom. Annalee McCaghren, daughter of the bride, handed the groom’s ring to her mother and Connor Delgado, son of the groom, handed the bride’s ring to his father.
A reception was held at the Gulf Dunes Condominium after the ceremony.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Falkville High School and attended Calhoun Community College. She is an international logistics coordinator for Panalpina at Huntsville International Airport.
The groom is a 1989 graduate of Choctawhatchee High School in Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. and a 1994 graduate of Florida State with a degree in criminology. He is a sergeant and supervisor of the white collar crimes unit with Decatur Police Department.
The couple honeymooned in Fort Walton Beach and is making their home in Hartselle. The groom and his parents are former residents of Newark and Granville.
