Charles Franks

Funeral for Charles Franks, 64, of Decatur, was Friday, July 15, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donald Dugger officiating.

Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Franks died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at his residence. He was born January 1, 1947, in Morgan County to Charlie Ellis Franks and Ella Faye Franks. He was a Baptist minister and a retired machinist, served in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1968 and was a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Franks of Priceville; a brother, Jimmy Franks of Priceville; and two sisters, Kathleen Hankins of Baileyton and Carolyn Lankster of Elkmont.

Pallbearers were J.D. Franks, Ted Lankster, Wayne Freeman, Anthony Freeman and Van Dunn.
