Ernest Ted Jennings

Funeral for Ernest Ted Jennings, 70 of Priceville will be Tuesday, June 28, at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Springs First Christian Church with the Rev. Tim Trambarger officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service on Tuesday, June 28.

Mr. Jennings died Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born March 14, 1941, in Morgan County to James Wilbur Jennings and Inez Bramlett Jennings. He was a member of the Valhermoso Springs First Christian Church, a Civil War enthusiast, loved restoring cars and was a great person with high expectations in life and had a great love for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Candy Jennings of Priceville; two daughters, Anna Jennings Turner of Huntsville and Tanya Jennings of Cotaco; a stepson, Gary Strawder and wife Michelle of Decatur; a stepdaughter, Tracy Kearns and husband Jeff of Russellville; the mother of his children, Dolores Jennings of Lacey’s Spring; three brothers, James E. Jennings, Fred Jennings and Ronald Jennings all of Valhermoso Springs; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Dunaway of Crossville, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Alexander, Jason Alexander, Michael Jennings, Daryle Jennings, Flint Jennings and Timmy Jennings.
