The Hartselle Police Department is looking for two men who were seen on surveillance cameras stealing a large number of cigarette packs from the Murphy Oil gas station on May 26.

Lt. Justin Barley, public information officer for the Hartselle Police Department, said the suspects who were wearing scarves to mask their faces apparently broke into the gas station at 3:40 a.m. on May 26, dumped a large number of cigarette packs into a trash can and emptied the packs into the getaway car.

“The suspects busted through the glass door, went into the store and took the cigarette packs,” Barley said.

The suspects are describes as a dark-skin black male and a light-skin black male. They were driving a dark four-door sedan.

Another burglary similar to this occurred in December 2010, when the same business was burglarized for cigarettes.

Barley is asking anyone with information on the incident to call the police department at 256-773-6534.
