Second man dies in 4-vehicle crash
A 4-vehicle crash on Highway 36 near Lacey’s Spring last Thursday claimed the lives of two of the drivers including one from Somerville.
Douglas Stephen Jones, 46, of Somerville was pronounced dead at the scene by Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn.
Steven Michael Blum, 26, of Arab died at Huntsville Hospital on Saturday after sustaining critical injuries in the collision.
Drivers of the other two vehicles involved escaped without injury. They were Scottie Lee Graves, 24, of Eva and Dustin Ryan Reed, 20, of Vinemont.
Jones was driving a Mitsubishi sedan and was traveling east and two Hummers and a Dodge van were in a convoy traveling west when the 6:30 a.m. mishap occurred.
Alabama State Troopers and the Alabama Army National Guard are conducting an investigation.
