Somerville man dies in 4-vehicle wreck

A four-vehicle crash this morning claimed one person’s life and injured another.

The crash occurred at 6:30 a.m. one mile west of Lacey’s Spring on Alabama 36. Douglas Stephen Jones, 46, of Somerville was killed when the vehicle he was driving struck another vehicle head-on.

The driver of another vehicle was transported to the hospital for emergency care. Circumstances surrounding the crash are being withheld pending further investigation.

State troopers are investigating the crash.
