Watson concert changed to August 5

2010 Country Legend of the Year Gene Watson & his Farewell Party Band will perform in concert at Sparkman Civic Center in Hartselle on Friday, Aug. 5, at 7 p.m.
The concert was originally scheduled for this weekend, but it was rescheduled due to the tornado outbreak.
Considered one of the finest pure country singers of is generation, Watson offers up one of the best traditional country shows in the business.
He had six No. 1 country hits, 23 top 10s, over 75 charted songs and 459 albums. His 2009 album “A Taste of the Truth” received great critical praise including “Album of the Year” from a critics and fans vote.
His country classics include “Love in the Hot Afternoon,” “Paper Rosie,” “Farewell Party” and “Any Which Way You Can.”
Watson is one of the rare singers who still sings in the same key he did 30 years ago and his audiences respond with standing ovations when he nails the jumping last note on his most requested song, the new country classic, “Farewell Party.”
