Ozelle Kitchens Cryer

Funeral for Ozelle Kitchens Cryer, 81, of Cotaco was Monday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at Cotaco United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Weaver officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Red Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Cryer died Saturday, May 7, 2011, at River City Health and Rehab. She was born March 12, 1930, in Alabama to Henry Clay Kitchens and Bonnie Beatrice Oneal Kitchens. She was a lifelong member of Cotaco United Methodist Church, active in community activities and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was co-owner of Cryer Cattle Farm and had a smile that would brighten the darkest day and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert G. Cryer; a son, Hubert G. Cryer Jr.; a daughter, Martha Jo Cryer Holmes; and an infant granddaughter, Emily Belle Holmes.
She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Cryer Pitman and husband Marlin of Cotaco; three brothers, Willard Kitchens of Pratville, Wiley Kitchens of Cullman and Edwin Kitchens of Moulton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dennis Holmes II, Charles Pitman, David Pitman, Carleton Turney, Mike Brasher and Terry Morris.
