The City of Hartselle has lifted its curfew since power has been restored to certain areas of the city, but police will step up patrols in dark areas of the city at night.

“Due to the power being restored to over half of the homes and businesses in Hartselle the City of Hartselle has lifted the dusk to dawn curfew,” said Mayor Dwight Tankersley in a statement Friday. “However, the Hartselle Police Department will aggressively patrol the areas that are still without power.

“Please do not travel through these areas unless you are a resident or have an urgent need to do so. If you do have a need to be traveling in areas where there is still no power be prepared to be identified and questioned by a police officer.”
