Funeral for Mary Sanders, 83, of Hartselle was Friday, April 22, at 3 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gamble officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Sanders died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born August 31, 1927, in Morgan County to Dallas McMillan Hightower and Carrie Elizabeth Wardlow Hightower. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Sanders and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Sanders of Somerville and Billy Wayne Sanders of Trinity; a daughter, Karen Guess of Hartselle; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
