Sasnette hits hole in one
Gerry Sasnette hit a hole in one on Monday, April 18, at Quail Creek Golf Course. He used a 9-iron on the 135-yard Hole 16. It was witnessed by Danny Holmes and Dustin Riddlehower.
Midnight run set for Friday
The City of Hartselle is hosting its Inaugural Cottontail Classic Midnight 5K on Friday, April 22 at midnight. The race will begin at Crestline Elementary at 600 Crestline Drive and is run on a flat, certified course. The fee is $25. Last minute registration will be the night of the race at 10:30 p.m.
Quail Creek wins Cup
Quail Creek won the Eyster-Etienne Cup, which is a tournament played between Quail Creek Resort and Point Mallard Golf Course in March.
This was the third tournament and the first win for Quail Creek. It is a Ryder Cup style tournament.
Quail Creek scored 27 points compared to 18 points for Point Mallard. The captains for Quail Creek are Bret Holland (captain) and Craig Howell (co-captain). Point Mallard was led by captain Charlie Krenkle and co-captain Gene Lowery.
