Severe weather possible Friday

Hartselle, Morgan County and much of the Tennessee Valley has been placed under a moderate risk of severe weather Friday afternoon and evening, according to the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla.
The main threat appears to be tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds, according to a National Weather Service hazardous outlook.
“Discrete severe thunderstorms are possible along and just ahead of a strong cold front that will move west to east across the area during this time,” the outlook states.
Severe weather is expected to diminish between midnight Friday night and Saturday at 5 a.m.
