Danville-Neel School sets kindergarten registration

Danville-Neel Elementary School has announced it will conduct kindergarten registration for the 2011-2012 school year on Thursday, April 21, and Friday, April 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Sarah Logan on April 15, Kayloni Cross on April 16 and Lelderine Lacy on April 17.
Special happy wedding anniversary wishes go out this week to Randy and Geri McAbee. They will enjoy celebrating their 28th anniversary on April 17.
Happy wedding anniversary wishes go out to Buddy and Ruby Lacy who will celebrate their 40th anniversary on April 17.
The Morgan Baptist Association Choir Festival will be held Thursday (today), April 14, at Liberty Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m.
Special congratulations go out to members of Danville High School’s varsity baseball team for winning their area championship. As area champs, they will host the first round of the state playoffs. Team members are Tom Russell, Jacob Fields, Matt Vest, Dylon Woods, Correy Gillies, Jessie Posey, Evan Cleghorn, Hunter Luker, David Pike, Taylor Harris, Trey Jones, Justin Morgan, Tyler Fields, Chase Gillott and Brad Vickers. Mike Johnson is their head coach.
Christian love and heartfelt prayers go out to the family of Crystal Williams in the death of her grandmother, Estelle Teague.
Danville Middle School’s seventh grade math team finished in fifth place at a recent math tournament and the eighth grade team placed third. Winning individual honors were Luke Hinkle, sixth place and Jackson Broadfoot, ninth place. The pre-algebra team won third place. It consisted of Austin Champion, Riley Copeland and T.J. Knowlton. The Algebra I team won second place. Individual winners were Jackson Broadfoot, second, Luke Hinkle, fourth, and Brent Anders, ninth. Congratulation to members of all of the teams.
Special congratulations go out to the following Danville Middle School students who won awards in a science fair: Fifth grade—Mattie Puckett, first; Alaina Wiley, second; Callie Ryan, third; Sixth and Seventh grades—Logan Jaep, first; Drew Cooper, second; and Rachel Ryan, third; Jackson Broadfoot had the Best of Show entry. Congratulations to all of the students who participated.
Danville Middle School students who won awards at the Regional Science Fair at UAH were: Alaina Wiley, first place in fifth grade Behavioral Science; Mattie Puckett, second place in the Biology Division; Callie Ryan, fourth place in Physical Science; Matthew Mercaldi, first place in Mathematics Division; and Rachel Ryan, second place in Physical Science Division. Rachel Ryan advanced to the State Science Fair.
