Sympathy extended to the Sherman Powell family

New Center news

It looks like spring is not too far away with all that’s blooming out and getting green but winter is not over yet. We could easily still have more cold weather.
Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Sherman Powell Jr.
Just a reminder if you placed an order for barbecue chicken or ribs from the youth of New Center Baptist Church: Don’t forget to pick up your order on Saturday, March 12, between 2 and 4 p.m.  Thank you for your support and participation.
Congratulations to Kody and Ashley Vest on the birth of their daughter, Karley Nicole Vest who was born Tuesday, March 1. She weighed seven pounds and eight ounces and was 19 inches long.
Her proud grandparents are Shannon and Kasonyia Briggs and Joel and Regina Bailey. Her great-grandparents are Sally Cheatham, Walter Vest, Velvert Johnson, Bobbie Jackson and Charlene Adams.
On Sunday afternoon, Whitney Alldredge, Mike Widener and Mike Motes were honored with a birthday lunch by family members and friends in celebration of their recent birthdays. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful meal, and special time together.
Happy birthday wishes go out to Huey Shelton on March 9, Elaine Perry, Earl Rigsby and Kaye St. Amand, all on March 10,  Frankie Maples and Barry Montgomery, both on March 11; Mike Petzold on March 12, Wesley Motes and Kevin Loney, both on March 13, Marilyn Blankenship on March 14, Anna Halbrooks and Larry Stalls, both on March 16.
