Woman accused of stealing prescription drugs from store
A 27-year-old Hartselle woman is facing theft charges after being accused of stealing medications from the Walgreen’s drug store she worked at.
Jessica Lynn Clack of Sherry Street was arrested March 1 and charged with theft in the second degree. She is currently in the Morgan County Jail where she is being held under a $2,500 bond.
According to a press release from the Decatur Police Department, managers at the Walgreen’s store located in the 1700 block of Beltline Road SW in Decatur contacted the police to report an employee theft.
“Upon the officers’ arrival, it was reported that an exceptional quantity of hydrocodone, a schedule 2 controlled substance, had been stolen over a period of time from the store’s pharmacy,” the release stated. “During the course of the investigation Jessica Clack, a pharmacy tech, was suspected in the theft of narcotics.”
Decatur Police are investigating the incident.
