Gore named APA VP
BIRMINGHAM – Alan Davis, vice president and regional publisher for Media General in Alabama, has been elected president of the Alabama Press Association.
Davis succeeds Joe Thomas, publisher and editor of the Tri-City Ledger in Flomaton. Thomas became chairman of the board.
Leada Gore, general manager for Price Publications, became first vice president, and David Moore, editor of The Arab Tribune, was elected second vice president of APA.
Gore is a graduate of the University of Montevallo with a degree in history. She joined Boone Newspapers in 1992 as a staff writer at the Shelby County Reporter, and later became publisher of the Hartselle Enquirer and the Madison County Record.
