Villanueva, Dobbs to wed in Italy
Lorena P. Chapa of San Antonio, Tex. announces the engagement of her daughter, Alda Villanueva, to Michael T. Dobbs, son of Tom and Pat Dobbs of Hartselle.
The future bride attended High School Brackenridge in San Antonio and received her bachelors degree in physics at the University of Texas in San Antonio. She received her masters degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas in Austin.
She works as a kindergarten teacher in international school at a NATO base in Naples, Italy.
The future groom is the grandson of Grace Westlake of Athens and the late Julian Blackwood of Hartselle and Dan Dobbs of Hartselle and the late Jackie Dobbs.
He is a 1992 Hartselle High School graduate, received a bachelors degree in agriculture engineering from Auburn University in 1997 and a masters degree in environmental engineering from the University of Alabama in 2002.
He is an air interdiction agent (pilot) for U.S. Customs and Border Patrol and is currently deployed with the U.S. Army Reserve in Naples, Italy, as an exchange officer to U.S. Navy Africa.
The wedding is planned for May 21, 2011, at Palazzi Rufini located in the region of Umbria in Italy with family and friends attending.
