Carlisle, Blaylock wed
Christie Lauren Carlisle of Montgomery and Jonathan Ryan Blaylock of Hartselle were married Aug. 14, at 2:30 p.m. at The American Village in Montevallo. The Rev. Dr. Rick Marshall of Montgomery officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Carlisle Jr. of Montgomery. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Robert G. Carlisle of Birmingham and the late Robert G. Carlisle and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Narrell of Cullman.
The groom is the son of Mrs. James N. Lane Hampton of Hartselle and Robert Blaylock of Decatur. He is the grandson of the late Amanda H. Kolb and Roy Kolb, both of Jackson, Miss. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Blaylock of Cleveland, Miss.
Her father, Robert G. Carlisle Jr., gave the bride in marriage.
She chose an Allure formal gown of white Duchess satin. The strapless gown featured a delicately beaded sweetheart bodice and a deep v’d back.
The soft A-line skirt was garnished with beading and swept to a semi-cathedral train.
Serving as maids of honor were Carly Curtis of Tuscaloosa and Jessica Williams of Birmingham.
Bridesmaids were April Blaylock, sister-in-law of the groom, of Madison, Haley Curtis of Atlanta, Ga., Nichla Phillips of Chesapeake, Va. and Heather Williams of Birmingham.
Junior bridesmaid was Amanda Hampton, sister of the groom, of Hartselle.
Best man was the groom’s brothers, Christopher Blaylock and Michael Blaylock, both of Madison.
Groomsmen were Clifton Carlisle, brother of the bride, of Montgomery, Robert Huffman of Mobile, Samuel Thompson of Birmingham, Robert Thompson IV of Huntsville and John Warren of Decatur.

The guest book attendant was Laura Summerford of Decatur. Kathryn Stalnaker of Birmingham was the program attendant.
Music was provided by pianist Deanna Anderson of Hartselle and vocalist Kelley Lyon and Stephanie Slaton, both of Tuscaloosa and Tyler Jones of Decatur.
The reception was held at the American Village ballroom in Montevallo. The wedding director was Mrs. Rick Marshall and the floral designer was Sharon Green of Montgomery.
The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica, Bosque Del Cabo Rainforest Lodge. They reside in Decatur.
The groom is employed by Wear Howell Strickland and Quinn accounting firm in Decatur and the bride is employed by the KPMG accounting firm in Birmingham.
The couple was honored with several prenuptial events:
• An “Around the Clock” party was held June 12 at the home of Kay Stalnaker in Vestavia. Additional hostesses were Alicia Trawick and June Carlisle.
• A tool and gadget party was given on June 26 at the clubhouse of Laurenwood Preserve subdivision hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Blaylock and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Blaylock of Madison.
• Carly Curtis, Jessica Williams, Haley Curtis, Nichla Phillips, Heather Williams and Laura Summerford hosted a Bachelorette Weekend in Savannah, Ga. the weekend of May 29.
• A lingerie shower was given by Miss Rachel Zicarelli, Miss Carly Curtis, Mrs. Sarah Smith and Miss Meriweather Paxon in Birmingham.
• On July 11, friends at Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Montgomery hosted a miscellaneous shower.
• A miscellaneous shower was given by friends and family at West Hartselle Baptist Church on June 26.
• A groomsmen “Getaway Weekend” was held at Panama City Beach the weekend of June 19.
• A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. James Hampton, at the Riverchase Ballroom at the Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham.
