Funeral for Laura Elizabeth Smith Pullam, 29, was Saturday, December 18, at 2 p.m. at Burkville Memorial United Methodist church with the Rev. Paul Turner officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma.
Mrs. Pullam died Wednesday, December 15, 2010. She was a paramedic in Morgan and Lawrence County for six years, and for the past few months was working in Lowndes County. She was also an active member of the Morgan County Rescue Squad for five years. She was a 1999 graduate of Lowndes Academy and received her paramedic degree from the University of South Alabama.
She is survived by a daughter, Victoria Clarabelle “Belle”; her parents, Guy F. “Fred” and Mary Smith; grandmother, Ruth R. Wilson; a brother, Michael Christopher and wife Shannon Smith; two sisters, Jennifer Ann Smith and husband Ed Stasiak and May Carolyn Syslo and husband Greg; three nieces, Syndney, Addison and Peyton Syslo; two nephews, Tyler Dill and Chase Grey; uncle, Robert Wilson and wife Nancy; four cousins, Ruth W. Brock and husband John, Cindy Smith King and husband Frank, Robert Smith and special friend, Shane Anthony Pullam.
Active pallbearers were Ed Stasiak, Tyler Dill, Jay McNamee, Jonathan Seen, Marty Forman and Danny Kelson.
