Hayes, Campbell wed
Marianne Lea Hayes of Hartselle and Christopher Charles Campbell of Decatur were married Dec. 11, 2010, at 3 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church. Rev. Walter Blackman and Rev. William Hayes officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of William Randall and Sue Ann Hayes of Hartselle. She is the granddaughter of the late Rev. Robert R. Slack Jr. and Mary Dell Slack of Hartselle and Rev. William Hayes and Bonnie Hayes of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Mark Allan II and Carla Cornette Campbell of Decatur. He is the grandson of Gene and Ann Cornette of Shelby, NC and Mark and Phyllis Campbell of Richmond, Ky.
The bride wore a strapless, A-line gown of champagne satin with an ivory overlay of Chantilly lace that scalloped on the neckline with hand-embroidered designs and crystals on the bodice. A stunning empire waistline was wrapped in Luxe satin. The gown flowed to a scalloped semi-chapel train. The ivory Chantilly lace, chapel length veil was detailed with beads and crystals.
She carried a hand-tied nosegay of ivory roses and mini calla lilies. The bouquet was adorned with a strand of memory beads and Swarovski crystals in memory of the bride’s maternal grandmother.
Erin Hayes, sister of bride, of Hartselle and Ashley Mardis, of Birmingham served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Meghan Boudreaux of Houston, Elizabeth Moore of Birmingham and Shanna Killebrew of Birmingham.
Chad Campbell, brother of groom, of Baton Rouge, La. served as best man. Groomsmen were Troy Campbell of Decatur, Brad Johnson of Birmingham, Andrew Hammond of Fort Worth and Parker Smith of Northport.
Emma Grace Putnam and Sophie Claire Putnam, cousins of the bride, of Frisco, Tex. were flower girls
Connor Brayden Putnam, cousin of the bride, of Frisco, Tex. served as ring bearer.
The reception was held in the church’s fellowship hall.
Assisting at the reception were Rebecca Mardis of Decatur, Cindy Moore of Columbia, Tenn., Dena Crowe and Christina Crowe of Decatur,
Candlelighter was Robert R. Slack, III of Hartselle. Music was provided by Jessica Putnam, soloist, of Frisco, Tex. Nicole Hayes, violinist, of Mesa, Ariz. and Terry Moore, pianist, of Decatur. Rebecca Sloane of Baton Rouge, La. read a scripture.
Leigh Watwood of Florence attended the bride’s book. Wedding coordinators were Martha Mooney of Dallas, Tex. and Barbary Hardy of Decatur.
Following a wedding trip to the Blue Ridge Moun-tains, the couple will reside in Birmingham.
