Christmas is a lot of fun but a lot of work, too

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Decorations are going up everywhere inside and outside. A lot of preparations have to be made for Christmas. Along with decorating, we purchase a few more groceries for parties and get-togethers. We shop until we drop for that special gift for that special someone, and the kids work on their Christmas list to mail to Santa. Even with the anticipation and looking forward to the holiday festivities, we must celebrate Christmas for the true meaning that it represents: the birth of Jesus.
Congratulations to Harold and Karen Plemons on the birth of their great-grandson, Landin Keith, who was born Thursday, Dec. 2. He weighed eight and one-half pounds and measured 19 and one-half inches long. His proud mother is Theresa Plemons and his grandparents are Tim and Tammy L Plemons.
Christian love and sympathy is extended to Joyce Maples Blankenship and Dale McMinemon in the loss of their brother and uncle, Eldridge “Hop” Hopper.
