Christmas dramas come to church

Shady Grove Baptist Church youth, ages pre-kindergarten through seventh grade, will present a musical drama entitled “Cookin’ Up Christmas Where Love Is the Main Ingredient” on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. Everyone is asked to bring finger foods for a fellowship get-together afterwards. The public is cordially invited.
Shady Grove Baptist Church will present a Christmas cantata entitled “Jesus, There’s Something About That Name” on Sunday, Dec. 19, at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
Christian love and prayers go out to Michael Terry, J.W. Franklin, Barbara Gillespie, Frances Morgan, Nancy Keenum, Lynn Montgomery, Janis Spinks, Billy E. Cagle, Dustan Colyer, Stephanie Hyde, LaDonna Brooks, Bobby Brant, Sammy and family, Bobby and family and Beth and family.
Special belated happy birthday wishes go out to Diann Alexander and Jeremy Lacy, both on Dec 1., Greg Roden, Laura Newman and Selma McCaghren, all on Dec. 2, Sandra Roden on Dec. 4, Karen Callahan and Eric Vest, both on Dec, 5, Heather Roden and Rachel Terry, both on Dec. 7, and Virgil Vest on Dec. 8.
Happy birthday wishes are extended to Pat Franklin on Dec. 10, Sadie Long and Waymon Alexander, both on Dec. 11 and Edith Parker on Dec. 12.
I wish my friend, Betty Boyd, a wonderful belated birthday. She celebrated her special day on Monday, Dec. 6.
Happy wedding anniversary wishes go out to De and Lori McGuire on Dec. 11. They will be celebrating their 20th anniversary.
I want to remind everyone to please save your aluminum cans for the Shady Grove Baptist Church children’s Sunday school classes.
They are collecting cans to raise money for the Lottie Moon Christmas offering for foreign missions. The GAs and Acteens are delivering Christmas cards within the church for donations to the missions offering.
I want to ask everyone to please pray for our deployed troops and their families and pray for peace and their safe return to their loved ones soon.
