It’s time to change those clocks

New Center News

Once again it’s time to end Daylight Savings Time. So on Saturday night, Nov. 7, before you start to bed don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour. I don’t know about you but it always takes me awhile to get with it.
During the months of October and November Mission Friends at New Center Baptist Church will be collecting canned food items for World Hunger. If you would like to help, please bring your canned vegetables and fruits to the church.
On Sunday afternoon, sisters Javon Alldredge and Roxanne Tucker were honored with a birthday lunch to celebrate their October birthdays at the home of Mike and Kaye Widener, with family members in attendance.
Happy belated birthday wishes go out to Ethan Cobbs on Nov. 1, Susie Blankenship on Nov. 2 and Virgie Hopper on Nov. 3.
Happy birthday wishes go out to Vera Couey, Donna Robertson and Justin Creese, all on Nov. 4, Jamie Buckelew on Nov. 6, and Vince Lamberti, Sierra Free and Royce Goree, all on Nov. 7.
Revival services will be conducted at New Center Baptist Church beginning on Sunday, Nov. 7, and continuing through Wednesday, Nov. 10. Revival preachers will be James Sawyer on Sunday, Al Jackson Monday and Tuesday and Junior Hill on Wednesday. Everyone is welcome.
If you are participating in Operation Christmas Child at New Center Baptist Church, don’t forget to fill your shoeboxes for children all over the world and turn then in by Nov. 7. Need ideas? Check out the tree.
