New Center sets fall revival dates

On Saturday Nathan and I drove to Guntersville State Park to watch our niece, Meagan Widener, participate in the Gunter’s Grunt and Grind Adventure Race to benefit the charity, Ogden House of Guntersville.
She rode a bike six miles, completed an obstacle course hosted by the U.S. Army, ran four miles and paddled a Kayak three miles. Also watching her were her parents, Mike and Kaye Widener, her sister, Kayla, and grandparents, Bill and Glynice Widener.
I’m glad that my daddy. Fred Motes is out of the hospital and back at home after a bout with bronchitis and pneumonia.
Happy birthday wishes go our this week to Joy Pratt and Kristy Halbrooks, both on Oct. 28, Drew Johns, Tammy Whitten and Gina Aguado, all on Oct. 3 and Eldora Maples and Brock Wilson, both on Nov. 1
Happy birthday wishes to my Aunt, Eldora Maples, who will celebrate her special day on Sunday, Nov.1.
Happy wedding anniversary wishes go out to Daniel and Solita Matthews on Oct. 28, Steve and Christy Holsomback on Oct. 29, Huey and Becky Shelton on Nov. 1 and Jay and Lauri Livingston on Nov. 2.
Attention children:  Trunk ‘n’ Treat will be observed at New Center Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 30, beginning at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, Oct. 30, Fall Fun Night will be observed at Somerville Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. Make plans to attend for an evening of fun. For more information, call the church office at 256-778-8844.
Revival services will be conducted at New Center Baptist Church Sunday through Wednesday, Nov. 7-10.
Revival preachers will be James Sawyer, Sunday morning and evening; Al Jackson, Monday and Tuesday evenings; and Junior Hill, Wednesday evening. Make plans now to attend and receive a special blessing.
