Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Justin C. Billings, son of Willadean Billings of Hartselle, recently received a letter of appreciation while assigned to 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines, 4th Marine Division stationed out of Hunstville. The honor was given in recognition of  his outstanding work and dedication during a funeral of a fellow Marine.
Billings’s unselfish commitment in honoring a fallen Marine displayed unwavering dedication and keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Marine Corps.
Billings is a 2006 graduate of Hartselle High School. He joined the Marine Corps Reserve in July 2007.
