Funeral for Billy Jack Dempsey Sr., 54, of Glencoe was Mon., Oct. 25, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Trosper officiating.
Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery.
Mr. Dempsey died Fri., Oct. 22, 2010, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 17, 1955, in Illinois. He was a self-employed catalytic converter purchaser.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Dutton Smith Dempsey of Glencoe; a son, Billy Jack Dempsey Jr. of Somerville; a daughter, Kristina Louise Dempsey of Somerville; his mother, Irene White of Somerville; a brother, Orbin Carl Dempsey of Somerville; a sister, Dorothy Ann Dudley of Somerville; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don Stewart, Jeremy East, Adam East, Carl Davis, Joe Stewart, Harold Fowler and Randall East.
