Payne, Owens to wed

Future Owens

Mr. and Mrs. Byron Payne of Trinity announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Elizabeth, to Tanner Drew Owens, son of Roger Owens of Trinity and Donna Stout of Moulton.
The future bride is the granddaughter of John and Diane Ryan of Decatur, Danny and Joyce Payne of Hartselle and the late Wynelle Payne. She is a 2009 graduate of East Lawrence High School and is currently attending the University of Alabama, where she is in the honors program. She is pursuing a major in English and a minor in anthropology.
The future groom is the grandson of Aaron and Faye Nesmith of Moulton and Kermit and Ruth Owens of Trinity. He is a 2007 graduate of East Lawrence High School and attended Calhoun Community College. He is currently a student at the University of Alabama where he is majoring in computer engineering.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. at Flint Church of Christ in Decatur.
