Hartselle, Danville win four

Hazel Green beat Hartselle 25-20, 25-19 in the championship of the Glenda Wright Invitational Saturday at Hazel Green High School.
Hartselle beat Buckhorn, Homewood, Clements and Jacksonville to reach the championship.
Katelyn Hill had 10 blocks, nine aces, 10 digs and 26 kills to pace the Lady Tigers. Olivia Golden added 37 kills and 26 digs.
Chelsea Bennich had 38 digs for Hartselle. Kelsey Bonner added 30 digs.
Savanne Howard had a team-high 51 assists, five kills and three aces in the five matches. Elizabeth Russell added 46 assists, eight aces and 15 digs.
Kaylee Shelton had 16 kills, six blocs and four digs, while Taylor Lybarger chipped in seven kills, two blocks and 10 digs. Haley Jared finished with eight kills, two assists, six digs and a block for Hartselle.
Hartselle, ranked No. 2 in Class 5A in the Birmingham News rankings, improved to 26-13 with the four wins.
The Lady Tigers have won 16 of their last 19 matches.
Danville goes 4-1
The Danville Lady Hawks were perfect in pool play before losing in the first round of the championship bracket of the Brooks Invitational Saturday.
The Lady Hawks beat Brooks, Lawrence County, Rogers and Southside-Gadsden to win their pool.
Danville was ousted from the tournament with a 25-18, 13-25, 19-17 loss to Tupelo.
Lindsay Simmons had 67 kills and 11 aces in the tournament. Ashley Nance added 53 kills.
Kaitlin Wallace had 111 assists and 10 aces in five matches, while Lacey Evans finished with 35 digs. Sydni Shelton and Morgan Doherty had six and five blocks respectively.
