Lady Tigers dump Hazel Green in sweep

After starting the season 10-10, Hartselle has picked up some steam on the volleyball court recently, winning 10 of its last 12 matches.
The Lady Tigers picked up two more wins Monday, including a win over one of the top ranked teams in Class 6A
Hartselle beat Austin 25-18, 21-25, 15-8 and Hazel Green 25-22, 23-25, 15-8.
Hazel Green was ranked eighth in Class 6A in the latest Birmingham News poll.
Olivia Golden led Hartselle with 23 kills and 24 digs. Katelyn Hill added 12 kills, two aces, two blocks and 11 digs.
Katie Clark chipped in with nine kills, two blocks and two digs. Chelsea Bennich had a team-high 30 digs in the win.
Savanne Howard had a team-high 33 assists, three kills, three aces, seven digs and a block. Elizabeth Russell had 20 assists and 19 digs.
Kelsey Bonner added 16 digs, while Kaylee Shelton had seven kills, two blocks and a dig. Taylor Lybarger finished with six kills and three digs.
Priceville wins pair
Priceville beat Falkville and Whitesburg Christian Monday afternoon in Falkville.
The Lady Bulldogs beat Falkville 26-24, 25-17 and Whitesburg Christian 25-13, 25-27, 15-6.
Darian Tucker had 16 kills, six aces and 11 digs and Sydney McLendon added nine kills in the wins.
Jordan Crow had 21 digs, while Emilee Cunningham added seven blocks.
Hartselle splits
Hartselle beat Catholic 25-17, 25-16 and lost to Madison County 25-21, 19-25, 15-13.
Olivia Golden had 23 kills, 14 digs and a block in the tri-match.
Katelyn Hill added 11 kills, eight blocks and four digs, while Chelsea Bennich had 23 digs and two aces.
Katie Clark and Kaylee Shelton finished with seven kills each for the Lady Tigers. Savanne Howard and Elizabeth Russell had 30 and 22 assists respectively.
Kelsey Bonner had 14 digs and an ace, while Taylor Lybarger finished with six kills, two blocks and eight assists. Haley Jared added a kill and a dig.
Danville splits pair
Danville beat Meek 25-11, 25-12 and lost to Winston County 25-15, 25-19.
Lindsay Simmons had 13 kills and two blocks in the tri-match, while Ashley Nance added 12 kills.
Jada Callahan had five aces and Lacey Evans finished with seven digs. Kaitlin Wallace had a team-high 22 assists,
