See You at the Pole (SYATP) is asking everyone to gather at the flagpoles at their schools Sept. 22, at 7 a.m. to pray for their school, faculty, students, friends and family members and for our world. Everyone is encouraged to ask God to reveal who He is to your campus and pray for an awakening.
The family of Mrs. Virginia Terrell surprised her with a party on the occasion of her 75th birthday.  Mrs. Terrell had a full house of family members, church members, friends and neighbors to help her celebrate. Mrs. Terrell is a very sweet lady and a blessing to Walden Chapel Church, according to pastor John Bain.
A special thank you goes out to Dot Linderman of Walden Chapel Church for all of the things she does for church members, including sending everyone a card on their birthday. She also recently celebrated her 39th birthday.  Happy belated birthday, Dot.
Shady Grove Baptist Church will host a “Sock Hop” Sept. 19 for students attending fifth through eighth grades. Everyone participating is asked to please bring socks for Operation Christmas Child. These shoebox gifts will be shipped in three months.
